Pet Advice Categories

Just like us humans, pets have their issues with various situations in everyday life which can result in problems with their behaviour. This can cause pet owners stress and prevent us from fully enjoying our pet companionship. These problems may include: difficulties with training, soiling indoors, phobias and aggression.

Luckily, in the vast majority of cases these problems can be fully eliminated or at least controlled.

Naturally, it is best to train and learn about your pet's behavioural patterns when they are young because that way they get used to being handled and trained quickly and easily.

Never use hitting and beating as a means of controlling your pet; it never brings any results in a long run, but fear. On the contrary, always praise and reward your pet for good behaviour. In case of dogs, it is also advisable to engage a professional dog trainer, if you don’t feel up to it, to train your pet yourself.

Should you need any advice or help with your pet's training, you are very welcome to call or pop into our Centre and talk to us about any concerns you may have about your pet's behaviour.

Our vets and nurses are more than happy to give you tips and advice on a variety of behavioural topics, which will no doubt help you understand and look after your pet in the best way possible.
