Carys Johnson
Veterinary Surgeon
Carys joined the Leadon Vale team at the end of 2021. Having originally completed a degree in Biochemistry in 2012, she then decided to study Veterinary Medicine and qualified from the University of Veterinary Medicine Kosice, Slovakia in 2016.
Carys began her Veterinary career in mixed practice, but found her bailiwick working with small mammals, with an equal passion for both medicine and surgery. She also has a keen interest when it comes to our feathered friends, having worked with raptors and owned her own Harris's Hawk, she very much enjoys working with birds of prey, but is also very happy to see and treat backyard poultry as well!
Carys is currently studying towards an advanced imaging certificate, and can provide acupuncture, electroacupuncture and shockwave therapy treatments.
In her spare time, Carys enjoys exploring the countryside with her black labrador, Bessie.
