Sarah Tomlinson

Sarah Tomlinson

Lead Veterinary Nurse RVN

RVN

Veterinary nursing was a career change for Sarah. She began doing work experience whilst still in her previous job role and loved it! Sarah studied to become an animal nursing assistant, volunteering one day a week in a mixed practice. She eventually became employed in the veterinary industry and after years of working extremely hard gained her veterinary nursing diploma from Pershore College.sarah thomlinson at leadon vale veterinay centre in ledbury

Sarah has worked in several practices within the Gloucestershire and Herefordshire counties, but it has always been a dream to work in her own hometown of Ledbury!

Sarah really enjoys all aspects of clinical nursing, in particular the inpatient’s medical care and consulting. She is very interested in anaesthesia monitoring and utilising the great equipment we have in the practice.

Sarah is also a clinical coach and is currently teaching a degree student here at Leadon Vale all of the practical skills required to become an RVN.

Sarah is a pet “mummy” herself and has four cats. Two are Norwegian Forest cats and the other two are rescues from work, a hazard of the job! She also has two dogs; a Labrador, and a little spaniel cross terrier who came home with me “for the weekend” two years ago!

Sarah’s largest furry family member is her pony; a very handsome Welsh boy called Trev. Sarah tries to hack out in the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside most weekends.
