Sarah is an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse with a background in a range of general practice settings. She brings a kind, calm, and compassionate approach to every patient in her care, always advocating for their individual needs.
She has a strong passion for inpatient care across Leadon Vale’s three wards and holds a recognised qualification in Medical Nursing. She is currently working towards a certificate in Emergency and Critical Care, with examinations scheduled for the end of the year.
Highly skilled and knowledgeable, Sarah works closely with veterinary surgeons in the management and support of critical and intensive care patients. She routinely performs Schedule 3 procedures - including placing naso‑gastric feeding tubes and urinary catheters - under veterinary direction. Obtaining diagnostic X‑ray images, for the vet's interpretation.
Providing nursing support to New Start Cat Rescue, a charity close to Leadon Vales heart.
A committed advocate for effective nurse utilisation and professional development, Sarah serves as a clinical supervisor, providing mentorship, guidance, and practical training to student veterinary nurses.
