SJ began her career with Leadon Vale as a Patient Care Assistant in 2016, before recently qualifying as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2025.

She brings a kind and caring approach to every patient in her care. One of her key interests in practice is laboratory work, and she is responsible for the running of the Leadon Vale laboratory, ensuring all equipment is regularly maintained - particularly the microscope. SJ has a keen eye for slide interpretation and will often identify crystals in urine samples, as well as yeast and rods on ear swab slides.

In addition to her laboratory expertise, SJ also enjoys monitoring and caring for patients under anaesthesia in theatre during surgery or undergoing a dental procedure in the prep room.

SJ consults, carrying out a few clinics during the week, meeting clients and their pets.
